This series were painted in 2021, during The Big Sydney Lockdown. Living in Western Sydney, we experienced the harshest restrictions, we could not even go over 5 km from the house. When local residents, unhappy with that, asked then Premier Gladys B., why we cannot enjoy summer beaches as all other Sydney, she answered along the lines of "Western Sydney has its own magnificent waterways!", Funny enough, it inspired me to go exploring and found the Hawkesbury landscapes magnificent indeed. And also all those dreams of other places - dreamy, foggy, airy landscapes, somehow dark and gloomy as that time was for us.
